Who qualifies
- Your GenogramAI account uses an academic email address: one ending in .edu, or a country academic domain such as .ac.uk, .edu.au or .edu.mx
- You're currently on the Free plan
The email check is done again at checkout, so the discount can't be applied to an account without an academic email. If you signed up with a personal email, create an account with your school email to get the offer.
How to get it
- Sign in with your school email
- Open the upgrade window: Settings → Plan → Upgrade to Pro, or any upgrade prompt in the app
- In the Student offer box ("Pro for $29 your first year with your .edu email"), click Get $29 first year
- Complete checkout. Your account switches to Pro right away
Academic accounts may also see a Welcome, Scholar! window after signing in. Choose I'm a Student and click Get $29 for your first year; it's the same offer.
What happens after the first year
The $29 price covers your first year. After that, the subscription renews as a regular annual Pro plan. To stop it renewing, cancel before your renewal date (see Managing or Cancelling Your Subscription).

- Refer your professor: in the Welcome, Scholar! window, the student page also shows Your Referral Link and a pre-written message. If your professor signs up, you get a free Pro account
- Educators: choose I'm an Educator in the same window to apply for a free educator Pro account. Applications are reviewed by our team
