Your client data stays where you saved it.

Every genogram and ecomap is a real file in your Documents folder. Back it up to your own Time Machine, sync it through your own iCloud, version it in git if you want. The app doesn’t upload anything by default.

Frequently asked

Is the desktop app free?+
The download is free. To use it you need an active Pro or Clinical plan — same subscription that unlocks the web app.
Does it really work offline?+
Yes, after you've signed in once. The license is cached locally (AES-256-CBC, machine-locked). You can keep building genograms and ecomaps for days without internet; the license re-verifies the next time you're online.
Does my client data leave my Mac?+
No — not by default. All files live in ~/Documents/GenogramAI/ and are never uploaded. AI features (Clinical plan only on desktop) optionally send de-identified prompts to our model proxy; in Clinical Mode, identifying info is stripped client-side before a single request leaves your machine.
When will Windows be available?+
On the roadmap. macOS first because that's where our clinician audience asked loudest. Subscribe to release notifications on GitHub.
What if I'm on an older Intel Mac?+
Intel build is available — both architectures are signed and notarized. The download page auto-detects your machine. If you want the other arch manually, both are linked side-by-side on the GitHub releases page.
