Account Settings, Role & Language
Change your name, role and password, pick the app language and date format, and find the Plan, Clinical and Research settings.
Opening Settings
- Dashboard: click your avatar at the top right, then Settings
- Editor: open the File menu (GenogramAI logo, top left) and choose Settings
The tabs are Account, Plan, Language, Formats, Clinical, Research, Privacy and Help.
Account
- Full Name: edit it here. Email is shown but cannot be changed.
- What best describes you?: Student, Therapist / counselor, Social worker, Doctor / nurse / genetics, Educator / professor, Researcher, Family historian, Personal / curious or Something else. It helps us tailor examples and tips, and you can change it any time.
- Change Password: type a new password (at least 6 characters) and click Save. If you signed up with Google you can still set one.
- Delete My Account: at the bottom. See Deleting your data.
Plan
Shows your current plan. Free accounts see Upgrade to Pro; paid accounts see Manage Billing (update your card, cancel) and an invoice list with PDF downloads. See Managing or cancelling your subscription.
Language
Choose the language used across the app, menus and exports: English, Español, Français, Deutsch, 中文, Русский, Português (Brasil), Nederlands, Indonesia, Italiano, Polski, 한국어 or 日本語. Don't see yours? Use Request language on the same tab. The AI Assistant replies in the language you write to it.
Formats
Set the Name order (Given name first or Family name first) and Date format (ISO, dotted, D/M/Y or M/D/Y) used on the canvas.
Clinical and Research
- Clinical: the Clinical mode switch and Always Start in Clinical Mode (Clinical plan). See Clinical mode.
- Research: Research view options, including Check for impossible facts (free on every plan). See Research view.
Privacy and Help
Privacy explains how your files are saved and protected and has the auto-save setting. Help has the documentation link, Restart Tutorial and Contact Support.
