Guided Tour & Video Tutorials

Take the 10-step guided tour on a practice genogram, replay it any time, and watch short how-to videos.

There are two ways to learn GenogramAI inside the app: a hands-on guided tour, and a library of short narrated videos.

The guided tour

The tour builds a small family with you on a practice genogram. It has 10 steps:

  1. Welcome
  2. Name the first person
  3. Add a partner
  4. Add a child
  5. Add her parents
  6. Show how two people get along (an emotional line)
  7. Choose the kind of relationship
  8. Choose what shows (views and text labels)
  9. Ask AI
  10. Tidy, style and share (the File menu)

Do each step yourself, or press Show me to watch it happen. Use Back and Next to move between steps, and Exit tour or Esc to leave.

Starting the tour

On the Dashboard's Home page, click Take the guided tour under New here?. The tour opens a new tutorial genogram in your library, so on the Free plan you need a free genogram slot (Free includes 2).

Replaying it

When you finish, a card offers next steps: ask AI to build a family, start your own genogram, export or print, or Watch video tutorials. Click Replay Tutorial at the bottom of that card to run the tour again, or later use Restart Tutorial in Settings → Help.

Video tutorials

Open Tutorials in the Dashboard sidebar, or go to app.genogramai.com/tutorials. You'll find:

  • Step by step: one short video per basic skill, from editing a name to adding medical conditions and notes. Try in app opens that step as a guided exercise on a fresh tutorial canvas.
  • Common questions: under-a-minute answers to what people ask most, such as showing emotional relationships, showing and moving the key, divorce and separation, downloading or printing, adoption and step-families, twins, households, pregnancy loss, pets and sharing.

Videos have English captions. The same videos are in the Library button in the editor toolbar, and the AI Assistant links to the right video when you ask how to do something.
