Switching View Modes
Toggle between Cultural, Medical, Religious, and other views.
GenogramAI offers 6 view modes to overlay different types of information.
The 6 View Modes
- Cultural View - 11 heritage patterns with 6+ colors
- Medical View - 4 customizable quadrants
- Religious View - 10 faith indicators (including Orthodox). A person marked non-practicing keeps the faith icon but its badge is drawn with a dashed ring and a "(non-practicing)" label suffix.
- Socioeconomic View - a fixed five-slot $ scale where the first N of five dollar signs are filled solid green (Upper = 5, Working = 2, Poverty = 1) and the rest stay ghost gray — the count of filled glyphs, not a color, marks the class
- Location View - Geographic data
- Emotional View - 23 relationship types
How to Switch
Use the View selector dropdown in the toolbar to switch between view modes.
Background Regions
Background regions are colored rectangles drawn behind everything on the canvas — useful for grouping households, generations, or clinical clusters. Press R or click the Square icon in the toolbar, then drag to draw a region. Click a region's border to select it, then recolor it (8 swatches), resize it from its handles, or delete it. Toggle all regions on or off with Backgrounds in the Views menu. Background regions are included in PNG and PDF exports.
