How to Make an Eco-Map (Ecomap): Systems, Lines and Energy Flow
About this lesson
Make an eco-map step by step in GenogramAI: start a blank ecomap from the dashboard, put a person at the center, add systems like family, work and health, set each relationship (strong, stressful and more) and the energy flow (resources flowing in, energy flowing out), drag anything into place (even the person at the center), and read it all in the legend. Blank eco-maps are free on every plan.
Transcript
An eco-map shows one person and the world around them: family, work, health and more. Here's how to make one in GenogramAI.
On the dashboard, open the Ecomap tab and choose Blank ecomap. Pick a person or a family, type a name, and start mapping. Click the center, then the plus button, and pick a system to add it, like family.
Then work. And health. Click a connection to set the relationship.
Strong, for her family. Stressful, for work. Under Flow and note, energy flow shows which way support moves.
Work drains her energy, so it flows from the client. Health care supports her, so it flows to the client. To tidy up, drag any circle, even the person in the middle.
The lines follow. And the legend explains every line and arrow on the map. Blank eco-maps are free on every plan.
