Genogram Views: Show Heritage, Medical Shading, Religion, Education and Households
About this lesson
Views control which layers appear on your genogram. Click the Views button in the toolbar to turn on any of nine layers: Cultural (heritage patterns), Medical (health conditions in classic or quadrant shading), Social (social class), Religion, Education, Location, Custom (your own color labels), Backgrounds (shaded regions) and Households (who lives together). Turn layers off again to keep the chart clean for a session or a handout.
Transcript
A genogram can hold a lot of information. Views let you choose which layers appear on the chart. Click the Views button in the toolbar.
There are nine layers. Cultural fills each symbol with a heritage pattern. Medical shades health conditions.
You can show them as quadrants, or keep the classic shading. Social marks social class, and Religion adds a small badge. Education shows the highest degree,
and Location adds a flag for where each person lives. Custom applies your own color labels. Backgrounds hides or shows shaded regions,
and Households outlines who lives together. Turn layers off again any time, to keep the chart clean for a session or a handout.
